Anonymous: Who is Dulcinea?
Dulcinea, the lady I refer to in so many of my posts here, is my inamorata, my love, my emotional support, my soon-to-be-fiancée, my wit sparring partner, my dominant, my sub, my fellow gendernaut. She’s my other, other, other half, without whom the world would be dark and tasteless.
Her name comes from a character in Don Quixote. The symbolism doesn’t quite hold true, for while Dulcinea is a figment of Quixote’s imagination, my Dulcinea is very very real.
Thank you, Dulcinea, for being there for me, for holding my hand as we jump head long into this exploration, and for loving me regardless of my gender. I am yours forever.
